Identification Of Root Cause

Myotherapists can identify the root cause of pain and mobility issues. This allows us to specifically address the problem and reduce the risk of reoccurrence.

Improve Functionality

Many illnesses and injuries can negatively impact your day-to-day life. Myotherapy can help to improve your issues as you return to your usual activities.

Decreased Pain

A common issue we treat is pain. This may develop from injuries or acute and chronic illness and conditions.

Mental Health Support

This therapy may help relieve emotional tension and support you alongside mental health treatment.

Increased Mobility

Stiffness, tension, pain and joint issues can lead to reduced mobility. Working to alleviate underlying issues can improve movement.

Renee Franklin

Renee Franklin

Clinical Myotherapist

Renee has worked as Myotherapist for 4 years and as a Remedial Therapist prior to that in various clinics across QLD and the Pilbara, WA. She loves working with clients to relieve their aches and pains and re-introduce all the movement our bodies are meant to do everyday. She especially enjoys working with chronic myofascial restriction, old injuries that continue to niggle and help clients to alleviate the stiffness that many of our sedentary jobs lead us to get ‘stuck’ in. She employs a range of hands on techniques and teaches easy to follow exercise activities that can be done anywhere, anytime!

Managing stress in the body, keeping active enough to play with the kids on the ground or go a full day at work without feeling like you’re going to collapse are often goals Renee works with clients to achieve. Renee’s main motivation to move down to Victoria from QLD was the gorgeous countryside Ballarat sits among, with camping, hiking and kayaking her favourite activities to do when the time (and weather) permits. When she’s not in clinic she’ll be out exploring everything the Grampians have to offer!

Genevieve Quan

Genevieve Quan

Myotherapist

Coming from a background of nearly 15 years in the health and fitness profession. Genevieve’s interest in personal wellbeing comes from many years of working in the industry, playing and competing in sports, exercise and managing pain and injuries.

Genevieve’s philosophy on life is to have a fantastic quality of life with lots of fun and adventure and to build upon the experiences to become the best version of you.

After qualifying as a personal trainer back in 2006, G felt like she needed and wanted to give more to her clients and decided to take a course in remedial massage therapy. G is currently studying myotherapy and will complete it this year.

Before joining Ballarat Myotherapy & Exercise Physiology, G worked full time in sales for the last 14 years in the health and wellness industry whilst treating and training people in her spare time. Her biggest drawcard to finally crossover into the field of allied health full time is due to her own personal injuries and pains. G’s greatest passion is to help educate and show people how they can take back control of their life when it comes to chronic pain.

In her downtime you will find G enjoying the great outdoors, swinging kettlebells, renovating the house, and training to master her next goal in strength and fitness. Her current goal to complete 10 wall handstand push-ups.

Genevieve works from Daylesford Myotherapy, located at 24 Raglan Street, Daylesford, Victoria 3460.
